he pineapple has long been considered the
traditional symbol of hospitality. Begun when Captain
James Cook returned from the Hawaiian Islands offering a
pineapple, a rare and regal fruit to only his noblest of
friends. 
uper 8 Personnel on all levels are
bringing back the "good ol' days," when the
pineapple was "the pinnacle of perfection" in
the hospitality industry. Courtesy, friendly attitudes
and helpfulness were all watchwords back in those early
days, and today they, along with comfort, convenience and
value, can all be used to describe Super 8 Motels. In
other words, the "We're Pineapple Kind of
People" theme encompasses the best of both worlds,
new and old, and it is the job of every Super 8 owner,
manager, and employee to carry on this fine tradition.
